This study investigates how the Qur'an and pesantren sexology literature respond to violence through a thematic examination of Qur'anic verses and analysis of pesantren literature material using a linguistic structural analysis approach. As a result, key phrases like al-'Aurat, Tasta'nisu, Ghaddu al-Bashar, 'Adam al Ikhtilat, Zinatun, al-Farj, Tukhalitu, and Fakhisyah are included in the Qur'anic moral concept of language structure. When considered in its context, the phrase demonstrates value in two significant ways: first, it highlights the relationship between Kiyai and Santri, which is followed by the paradigm of sexology preventative literacy for teenagers, and second, it highlights the preventive system of pesantren spatial management and the communication model.
Rifqi As'adah Laili, Ubaidillah Hasan, Siti Marpuah ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://islamikainside.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/islamikainside/article/view/278 Thu, 26 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 A Neuroscience-Based Model for Developing Religious Moderation: The Perspective of Muhammadiyah Ulama’s Living Fatwas During the Covid-19 Pandemic in Indonesia https://islamikainside.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/islamikainside/article/view/294
The Covid-19 pandemic has created new dynamics in religious practice, particularly in the tension between spirituality and adherence to health protocols. Lockdown policies that restricted public worship activities, such as the closure of mosques and prayer rooms, triggered various responses, including the narrative “fearing hell more than Covid-19.” This article argues that the development of moderate religious attitudes can be conceptually constructed through integrating neuroscience perspectives with the living fatwa of Muhammadiyah scholars during the pandemic. This study employs a qualitative literature-based approach, drawing on key sources concerning religious moderation, Muhammadiyah fatwas related to Covid-19, and relevant literature on neuroscience in Islamic education. Data were analyzed using content analysis methods that emphasize intertextuality and conceptual articulation. The findings indicate that a moderate religious attitude is not merely normative-theological but is also closely linked to cognitive and affective processes in the human brain, as reflected in the practice of living Islam. This study reinforces the importance of fatwas as both an ethical reference and a subject of critical analysis through neuroscience within contemporary Islamic studies. The article contributes to broadening the academic framework of religious moderation through an interdisciplinary approach between Islamic studies and neuroscience.
Mohammad Jailani ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://islamikainside.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/islamikainside/article/view/294 Thu, 26 Jun 2025 13:56:04 +0700 Poverty in The Qur'an: A Thematic Study of Verses on Poverty Through a Cultural-Structural Approach https://islamikainside.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/islamikainside/article/view/297
Poverty has been a persistent problem since ancient times. In Indonesia, poverty rates continue to fluctuate. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics, the number of impoverished individuals as of March 2023 was 25.90 million out of a total population of 278.8 million. It is essential to continue examining why poverty persists globally today, especially since Islam has provided extensive guidance on this issue within the Qur’an. Motivated by these facts, the author has explored poverty from the Qur’anic perspective using Abd al Hayy al Farmawi's thematic interpretation method, analyzed with sociology through cultural and structural approaches. Culturally, several causes of poverty have been identified: first, laziness and lack of perseverance; second, consumptive, inefficient, and stingy behaviors; third, individual destruction; and fourth, a lack of knowledge and education. Structurally, the causes include neoliberalism, capitalism, monopolies, social discrimination, and the arrogance of power. Qur’anically prescribed countermeasures culturally include genuine endeavor, a lifestyle of frugality, efficiency, wisdom, individual reconstruction, and education. Structurally, government intervention is required. The proposed solutions include the prohibition of monopolies, the establishment of justice, and pro-poor policies.
Zulfan Nabrisah, Ahmad Fajar Shodik, Imamuddin Imamuddin ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://islamikainside.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/islamikainside/article/view/297 Thu, 26 Jun 2025 13:56:32 +0700 The The Aspects of Locality in Tafsir Kediri by Abdur Rohman: Analysis of Q.S. Al-Baqarah [2]: 67-73 About Slaughtering Female Cows https://islamikainside.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/islamikainside/article/view/282
Tafsir Kediri is one of the works of an Indonesian mufasir, and it has prominent characteristics in aspects of the Javanese locality, especially Kediri. Among the verses of the Qur'an that are interpreted based on locality within the scope of Abdur Rohman as a Kediri community can be seen in the interpretation of Q.S. Al-Baqarah [2]: 67-73. This verse tells the origin of the slaughter of female cows in the story of the Prophet Musa (AS). Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews with the authors of Tafsir Kediri and an analysis of interpreters' interpretations regarding the focus of this paper's discussion. The research results show the answer to the problem formulation, namely, how the portrait of Tafsir Kediri by Abdur Rohman and the locality aspect in Abdur Rohman's interpretation of Q.S. al-Baqarah [2]: 67-73 concerning the slaughter of female cattle. From the results of the descriptive analysis, it was found that first, when interpreting Q.S. al-Baqarah [2]: 68, through the mention of the classification of cow names based on their age and the mention of Javanese editorials (including Kediri). Second, the locality aspect appears in the interpretation of Q.S. al-Baqarah [2]: 69 by mentioning a typical Javanese cow's color. Third, the locality aspect appears in the interpretation of Q.S. al-Baqarah [2]: 71 through the mention of Javanese terms for plowing rice fields. Mluku rice fields loosen the soil before planting and sowing seeds, while nggaru rice fields are the process of smoothing and leveling the land that has been mluku.
Wildah Nurul Islami, Fuady Fuady ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://islamikainside.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/islamikainside/article/view/282 Thu, 17 Jul 2025 12:26:49 +0700
